Getting Information in Your State
Each state runs a Child Support Enforcement Agency. Although there are some federal laws pertaining to child support, each state has different child support laws and procedures.

Further down on this page is a listing by state of child support agencies and their phone numbers. Call and ask if they have information on child support laws in your state. You can also find your state’s web site by visiting www.acf.hhs.gov and looking under “state and local” links.
