Development Doctor
Summer is often a time for vacation and relaxation, but don’t forget about reflection. My advice to you in the slower months of summer is to take stock of all the great things your program’s students have accomplished. Take time to crunch the numbers, compile the data and run reports to demonstrate the great work you do.
Send this information, with a personal note from you or a graduate, on to your current and potential funders to demonstrate your program’s success!
Questions or Suggestions?
Send your questions or leads to the Development Doctor. Remember good prescriptions for financial health should be shared, so let the Doctor know about resources you find useful!

Funding Opportunities
AspenWSI Grant
AspenWSI is seeking applicants for a new three-year demonstration, Courses to Employment: Sectoral Approaches to Community College-Nonprofit Partnerships, which will launch in 2008. The demonstration is designed to support efforts between community colleges and community-based organizations that employ sectoral employment development principles in their work with low-income adults. Funded by the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation, the primary goal of the demonstration is to help low-income adults acquire the education credentials and skills they need for employment that pays self-sufficiency wages.
Full details about the Letter of Interest process are available on the AspenWSI web site. All materials must be received, in one package via e-mail, by the Aspen Institute by close of business June 29, 2007.
