Helping Women One Jewel at a Time
Online Retailer Partners with National Not-for-Profit
for Consumer Program Benefiting Women in Transition
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Jewelry aficionados purchasing the “perfect” new bauble can help support women in transition via a new partnership program, called One Jewel at a Time, announced today at the opening of the 2006 Women Work! National Conference.
Through the nationwide program, the catalogue and online boutique Moonlight Lily
(www.moonlightlily.com) – specializing in unique and exquisite jewelry – will give back 20 percent of the retail price of all items, with 10 percent savings returned to the purchaser and 10 percent donated to the not-for-profit organization Women Work! The National Network for Women’s Employment.
Founded in 1978, the Network of 1,000-plus services providers nationwide has assisted more
than 10 million women to successfully enter, re-enter and advance in the workforce by providing
job readiness, education, training and employment opportunities.
One Jewel at a Time embodies the commitment demonstrated each day by Women Work!, to
help one woman at a time achieve economic self-sufficiency. Many women, in fact, are
proverbial diamonds in the rough and simply need a helping hand to improve their lives and the
lives of their children.
To participate in the program, consumers shop at moonlightlily.com, make their selections and
enter the code WORK on the checkout page. The 10 percent savings will appear on the page,
and Moonlight Lily will match the dollar amount in a donation to Women Work! The One
Jewel at a Time program runs through December 31, 2006.
Consumers can also request a Moonlight Lily catalog by calling the toll-free number 1-888-818-
5459.
The Moonlight Lily catalog and its companion website moonlightlily.com have become a trusted
resource for consumers seeking shopping convenience and an expertly edited selection of highqualitymerchandise with distinctive designs and noted craftsmanship. The offerings include an assortment of jewelry ranging from brilliant pave diamond earrings and opulent cocktail rings, to whimsical charm bracelets and delicate necklaces with semiprecious stones. Retail prices for the jewelry start at $50 and go up to more than $4,500.
Women Work! has participated in successful cause marketing initiatives with Bank of America
Corporation, the Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Association (CFTA), No nonsense, Panasonic
Corporation of North America, Sears, Roebuck and Co., and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, among
others.
