10,000 Women to use New Career
Advancement Tool in 2007

WASHINGTON, DC –– In 2007 more than 10,000 women across the country will use the
Women Work! Career Center to navigate a path to a new rewarding, lucrative career according
to projections announced today by Women Work! The National Network for Women’s
Employment. The free website and online job bank, launched in August, has seen a steady
increase in the number of unique visitors during the last quarter of 2006.

"Women come to the Women Work! Career Center because it’s designed specifically to address
the unique challenges they face in the workforce,” said Jill Miller, Women Work! President and
CEO. “With 30 years of experience helping women attain self-sufficiency, Women Work!
creates resources and tools to help women get fulfilling jobs that pay the bills and support
families.”

The Women Work! Career Center addresses the challenges women face at all stages of their
work life by providing the information they need to advance their careers. The site is simple to
use so that even women with limited computer skills can benefit from it. It contains advice about
balancing work and life, information on employee rights, step-by-step guides to résumé and
cover letter writing and the Women Work! Job Finder, a job bank powered by CareerBuilder.

" There are currently more than 1.3 million jobs available on our Job Finder, which pay family
supporting wages,” said Miller. “The Job Finder and Career Center help women expand their job
search by connecting them with employers in a wide range of employment sectors, including
well-paid skilled trades that traditionally employ mostly men.”

The Women Work! Career Center and the Women Work! Job Finder are free for job seekers and
available to the public. Access them by clicking on the Career Center logo at
www.womenwork.org.
